Legal & Technical Disclaimer

This disclaimer sets the limits of Castle's liability, set out as the questions users most often raise. Installing the app on an Android phone, Android TV, or Fire TV Stick means you accept the answers below, so they are worth a couple of minutes before you rely on the service.

Does Castle own the content it shows?

No. Castle is an Information Location Tool and search directory. It does not produce, own, license, host, store, or rebroadcast any media files, live matches, films, or regional audio. Every link, poster, synopsis, and audio option is metadata gathered automatically from public online sources. Castle has no custodial authority over, and no affiliation with, the external hosts behind those links, and the presence of a link is no endorsement or guarantee of the safety, legality, or quality of its source. Viewers reach external material at their own discretion and remain responsible for complying with the law in their region.

Am I using the app at my own risk?

Yes. Castle is supplied “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Devices behave as devices do: processors warm, batteries age, storage fills, and apps occasionally conflict. Where any of this coincides with using Castle, on a device of any age, the loss is not ours to cover. Running the app through a desktop emulator adds that emulator's own faults, such as driver errors, memory conflicts, and instability, which are likewise outside our responsibility.

Why do you keep warning about fake APKs?

Because a counterfeit build is the single biggest risk to you. The only authentic source of Castle is our official website. Modified, cloned, and “cracked” copies circulate on unofficial app stores, messaging channels, links beneath videos, and file-sharing services, and such builds can hide spyware, ransomware, or code that records what you type, passwords and payment details included. Liability for any harm caused by an unofficial copy rests with whoever produced and installed it. If your copy came from anywhere else, remove it at once and run a full security scan before trusting the device again.

What about the ads and external links?

Castle is kept free through advertising supplied by third-party networks, whose advertised goods and services are not examined, verified, or endorsed by us. Selecting an advertisement or an indexed link takes you out of the app and onto another site, where any pop-ups, cookies, sign-ups, or purchases proceed under that site's rules rather than ours. Review the terms and privacy policy of any destination before engaging, and take particular care before entering payment details anywhere outside the app.

Do you guarantee smooth streaming?

No. Stream stability, bitrate, and continuity depend on external hosts and on your internet provider, including any throttling it applies, and none of that lies within Castle's control. On a weak or congested mobile connection, or during high-demand cricket matches and major releases, a stream may slow or drop. Castle accepts no liability for buffering, desynchronisation, packet loss, or dropped connections in such moments, nor for charges on a mobile data plan. Nothing here or in the app is legal, financial, or professional advice.
